Building a quality home begins with knowledge and experience. The principals of Ocean Green Homes Ltd have been active in all aspects of home construction since the early 1970’s with a combined length of service to residential consumers exceeding 100 years.
Glenn
Schmitke - Construction Manager
Glenn has been active in the residential construction
business since 1976. Having designed and built hundreds of homes
during
this time, he has gained many satisfied customers at every price level.
Years of first-hand carpentry experience give Glenn a
thorough knowledge
and understanding of every detail involved in the
construction of a new home. Prior to the formation of Ocean
Green Homes, Glenn worked at the forefront of the building industry as
both a general contractor, and a construction manager for a large
Alberta-based home builder. Throughout his career, Glenn has also
been active
in the professional associations in his community, and is a member in
good
standing with the Home Warranty Program. Glenn's move to Nanaimo
to
participate in the ownership and management of Ocean Green Homes Ltd,
fulfills his dream to live and work on
Vancouver Island.
Marvin
Galts – Director
Marvin Galts is the president and general manager of Galko
Homes Ltd in Lethbridge, Alberta, a company that has built
approximately 1,500 homes and 700 apartment units. He served as
president of the National Home Builders’ Association (Lethbridge
chapter) for two terms and was one of the founding members of Alberta
New Home Warranty Program; Marvin also served as a director of the
program for two terms.
Chris
Constant – Director
Chris is President and manager of Lethbridge Basements Ltd,
a company that he founded in 1976. He is a member of The Canadian Home
Builders’ Association and The Better Business Bureau.
Bob
Ackerman – Director
Bob has been involved in Real Estate Development and
Brokerage since 1976 and has been an active member of industry and
professional organizations as well as numerous community groups. He has
always taken an active leadership role and has earned a reputation of
fair and ethical business practices in all of his endeavors.
